How to find your Spotify session code (sp_dc)

On a computer

Method 1 Easy

  1. Install the Cookie-Editor extension for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari.
  2. Sign in at spotify.com with the account you want to use.
  3. Open Cookie-Editor, search for sp_dc, and copy its full value.
  4. Return here and paste the value into the session-code field above.

Method 2 Advanced

  1. Sign in at spotify.com on your computer.
  2. Press F12 or right-click the page and choose Inspect. On a Mac, use Cmd + Option + I.
  3. Open Application in Chrome, Edge, or Brave, or Storage in Firefox.
  4. Select Cookies → https://www.spotify.com, then copy the complete sp_dc value. It usually begins with AQA.

Paste only the value into the field above, without sp_dc= or quotation marks.

On a phone

Android

  1. Install Firefox for Android and add Cookie-Editor.
  2. Sign in at spotify.com in Firefox.
  3. Open the browser menu, choose Extensions → Cookie-Editor, search for sp_dc, and copy its full value.
  4. Return here and paste the value into the session-code field above.

iPhone or iPad

  1. Install Orion Browser and add Cookie-Editor using its extension instructions, or install Cookie-Editor for Safari from the official Cookie-Editor page and enable the extension in Safari.
  2. Sign in at spotify.com in the browser where you installed Cookie-Editor.
  3. Open Cookie-Editor from the browser tools, locate sp_dc, and copy the entire value.
  4. Return here and paste the value into the session-code field above.

Alternative: Find the value on a desktop browser, then paste it into this page on your phone using a private method you control.

New account creation is paused
Spotify temporarily disabled the API path third-party tools need to spin up a fresh account during renewal. In the meantime, export and import playlists manually via trikatuka.aknakn.eu.
One tip before you submit
Back up your playlists. They are safe through the renewal, but a backup is one minute of work and saves a headache if anything ever drifts.
